On another topic: Willie Wisely Trio just booked a private event, this time in Fairbault, MN, re-celebrating a wedding we played there twenty years ago. We hope to shoot some before and after re-enactment photos.

The first wedding we ever played was probably Scotty & Laura’s in Racine, WI in 1991. In 2011 we played their 20th anniversary too!

Recently, I was speaking with Laura, and reminded her to this photo. She told me that the beautiful little girl in the foreground unexpectedly died from a rare ailment, just weeks after this picture was taken. Horrible! So I revisited the picture and noticed, based on my left hand, that we were playing the song “Duration”.

Time is our greatest constraint. Time is all we really possess. Make sure to take time this Thanksgiving weekend to feel time pass, and appreciate it’s thinly sliced moments. Make sure to share some love and some calm. Give some thanks, and thank someone for giving. Especially for the kids.
